Art and Music
Commitment to the arts goes beyond the usual at Delphi Academy of Santa Monica.
Students are instructed in the basics of drawing and painting through the highly
regarded Mission: Renaissance™ program, and are introduced to the world of
music through an Academy Award-nominated composer and USC music professor. Art and
music are more than extra-curricular at Delphi; they are an integral part of the
program in Santa Monica.
All Delphi Santa Monica students participated in our new theatrical arts program
and created two original plays for the spring performance. The Beginners' Puppy Love
included fairies, a rock band, friends, and of course, a puppy that had been lost
but now was found. The Forms 1-4 students went back in time to study the history
and language of the Elizabethan era taking great liberties with Shakespeare's A Mid
Summer Nights Dream. The director, Rana Kirkland, thanked our parents and
staff for allowing her to work with our amazing students and looks forward to returning
next January for a new production.
