Our Art for Haiti Fundraiser was a big success.

We raised over $750 and donated the proceeds to the American Red Cross for the relief efforts in Haiti.

The Run for One Planet is an 11,000 mile run across Canada and around the USA by two Canadians, Matt Hill and Stephanie Tait, to inspire Environmental Action. In preparation for their visit, the students made a big banner welcoming them, created art with how they could help the planet and thought of questions to ask them about their project. When the Run for One Planet team arrived, they were greeted by all the students who attended Matt and Stephanie's lively presentation. At the end of the presentation, an envelope was given to them with donations collected from all the students, to help their cause, along with all the beautiful pictures the students created about how they could help the planet.

The Mother's Day Tea 2009 was a delight for all. It was held in our courtyard with the students helping serve tea, fruit and other treats. The special highlight was a present the students put together for every mother - a cookbook of Delphi mothers' favorite recipes.
